When a child nags… Strategy #2

(One minute read)

What do you do when a child nags and nags, and the red and green picture was not enough to help the child, teen, (or young adult) stop or decrease the behavior?
Your can write a social story that helps them understand a bit more about nagging and what it feels like to themselves and others. Here is a sample social story.

Once again, the behavior management part is key. You can let the child know that you will acknowledge or answer the question up to three times that day, and thereafter you will not respond again until the next day. The important thing to remember is to be consistent and to follow through.

Have a successful and calm week!
