The courses have been so filled with enrichment activities that it would be so useful that all staff become certified and or trained in these classroom management skills.

I had a few students this year and in years past who had difficulty managing their emotions. I am hoping tonight’s training will help me assist those students in the future.

I liked the idea of making emotion books (perhaps beginning of the year next year). This is a great way to teach students (especially bilingual) the many different feelings that we may feel using words other than the usual “happy/sad”.

Another great session! Thank you! I love the example you shared of the mother asking her child if she was ready to accept a no as a response. I am going to try that with my kids.

I love the chart showing how students should react by the size of the problem. I will definitely be using that in my classroom next year but will experiment in ESY.

It was such a beautiful moment to witness Devora and her subject seamlessly and effortlessly bond over the child and the feelings she was having. The raw emotion and trust that had been established set the tone for the child to continue building the bridge of communication. It is such an essential element that is needed in order to teach and connect linking a positive rapport with students going forward.
