Children and Bees What’s The Connection??

(30-second read)

This past Rosh Hashana, a time for renewal and reflection, I heard something that resonated deeply within me.

On this Yomtov (holiday), we have the tradition of dipping apples in honey, but it takes on a much deeper meaning. If all we need is a sweetener, why don’t we just dip the apple into sugar or maple syrup?

Of all sweeteners, honey is particularly significant. Unlike sugar, maple syrup, or agave, honey comes from the humble bee—an insect that, according to aerodynamic theory, SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FLY. Yet, despite all the odds, the bee defies the IMPOSSIBLE, buzzing through the air with determination and purpose.

In many ways, our children are like these bees. Sometimes, they face challenges that seem insurmountable, and it’s easy to fall into the trap of underestimating their potential. But just as the bee flies against all expectations, so too can our children soar beyond the limits we imagine for them. It’s a reminder for us to set high expectations and encourage them to reach the top! The world (doctors, teachers, therapists…) may say it’s IMPOSSIBLE, but with the right guidance and belief, they can reach heights we never thought possible!!!

As we begin this New Year and new school year, may we be reminded of the power of belief—both in the miracles around us and in the incredible potential of the children we nurture. Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE

To success upon the New Year!

Dr. Devora

P.S. This message applies to us adults as well! We can set personal goals for ourselves and remember that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!

P.P.S. I’m talking to myself… 😉
